Your Favorite Music Instrument Store

By admin On December 31st, 2011

What you can expect to find in a music instrument store are electric guitars, acoustic guitars and bass guitars, as well as drums and percussion, music keyboards, live sound and recording software and studio equipment from all the leading brands.
A good music instrument store will offer deals on the hottest music gear. Music123 is one such store that has a wide selection of musical instruments and musical equipment.
Other items you might find in a music instrument store would be DJ equipment and stage lighting, band and orchestra needs, clothes and lifestyle items, music instruction videos and books about making music.
Any instrument that produces music is a musical instrument.
There are six main categories of instruments to be found in a music instrument store. These are bowed strings, woodwind, brass, percussion, keyboard and the guitar family.
” Bowed Strings: the violins, the violas, the cellos and the double basses ” Woodwind: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon ” Brass Instruments: trumpet, fresh horn, trombone, tuba ” Percussion Instruments: tuned, indefinite pitch ” Keyboard Instruments: plucked, struck, aerated, electronic ” Guitar Family: six-stringed and the four-string bass guitar.
The brass and woodwind instruments work by blowing air into the instrument which in turn vibrates within the instrument making a sound. The type of music that is produced will depend on the length of the circulation of air that is blown into the product, the shape of it and also the method of the tone and also the way in which it is created.
The percussion instruments produce sounds when they are struck. The sounds that are generated from it will depend on the shape of the device and also the size of the item.
Bowed instruments including the guitar family are played by strumming and plucking at the strings. These instruments produce a sound that is dependent on the amount of strings, the tension and the length of the vibration of the strings.
Other types of music devices include keyboards, piano as well as electronic items.
In the western world, one of the largest musical instruments, the piano, is the most popular form of producing music.
A piano can be classified as both a percussion and a string instrument; percussion because the player strikes the key to make a sound, and string because the sound is actually the result of a string’s vibration. The strength of striking on the key determines the volume – the percussion angle, whereas some will argue that the “velocity” of the keystroke that determines the volume and not the strength behind it – thus making it a string instrument.
Many people would love to learn how to play a musical instrument, but for many the price of buying a new instrument is just too high. Consider the cost of a new piano which can cost well over $2000 for the most basic model. Even a smaller instrument such as a flute can cost as much as $3000 which is far beyond what many can afford to pay.
As an alternative to purchasing new from a music instrument store, there is always the option of buying used musical instrument. This is a viable option for those wanting to learn to play without spending a fortune. Typically over 50% savings can be realized.
Finding used music instruments can be somewhat difficult. Common instruments like pianos, violins and guitars are easy to find, however more obscure instruments are harder to find. Searching the internet is usually the first approach but sometimes your local music instrument store may surprise you in having the piece you would like (or at least know where to get one).

offers products and product reviews of musical instruments. You will also find articles about the music and musical instruments

A Musical Education For Only A Dollar

By admin On December 30th, 2011

Have you ever noticed that the more you learn… the more you start to realize just how little you really know? Well, no one knows everything except “Our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ”. But wouldn’t it be great if you knew everything there was to know about music? Can you imagine what it would be like to be the World’s Greatest Musician?
I started out in college studying to be an electronics engineer. But later decided to change my major to music. I graduated from United States International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music in 1987. This unique combination gave me a great understanding of music from both sides of the stage…both as a performer and as a sound engineer.
Many musicians do not understand “Acoustics” which unfortunately can make a huge difference in the final outcome of their performance. You have to not only consider the sound that you’re hearing from your musical instrument, but even more importantly the sound that your audience is hearing. You could be the greatest musician in the world. But your audience will never be able to appreciate it if the beautiful tones of your instrument are distorted, muted, or just plain dry and dull by the time they reach your audience.
A few years ago I started thinking about a way to start all over again. What if I could go back, to when I first started studying music, over 4 decades ago, and put everything in a logical order. So that it would help experienced musicians fill in the missing gaps and at the same time help those who knew absolutely nothing about music.
For those of you who are professional musicians wouldn’t it be exciting if you could fill in all the missing gaps of your musical knowledge so that you could reach your full potential as a musician?
I have just launched a web site called “Music Lessons For Only A Dollar.” I wanted to be able to create something that everyone could afford.
A web site for everyone interested in music, no matter what instrument you currently play, or would like to learn how play.
A web site for everyone interested in music.
A web site not only for people who know absolutely nothing about music… but also for those who know a great deal about music.
A web site that people could access that would continue to increase in size, with No Monthly Fees!
A web site that not only had information from me… but from several sources.
A web site that had links to other musical web sites.
A web site that everyone could learn something from and could afford.
In my first year of college as a music student I remember a girl in our “Music Theory Class” that kept saying “I already know all of this.” ….”I already know all of that.”…etc… And the Professor simply said: “Don’t worry we’ll catch up with you!” And we did… in short-order!
The point is never assume that you already know it all. Sure there will be some things that seem easy or boring to you as you start reviewing the information, but if you stick around long enough you will soon come across something that you should have known all ready, but somehow you missed early on in your musical education… “A missing Gap!” All of us have gaps in our musical knowledge as musicians.
For those of you who are music teachers you will probably be the first to admit that you have learned more from your students then you ever thought possible! Especially from your beginning students who usually force you to think about certain musical ideas from an entirely different point of view.
Thank You for Your Time & Patience.
God Bless You.

Top Six Things To Look For In Piano Lessons Download

By admin On December 29th, 2011

In this article I shall discuss the few things that you should look into while searching for good piano lessons download online.
Price
Well, the main reason why people opt for online piano lessons download is because it is free of cost, at least at the beginners’ level and for advanced learners’ courses they will charge a nominal fee. This is in stark contrast to offline real piano classes where you have to shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars to take the lesson.
Actual sheet music
Virtual piano lessons are fine but a real copy of the sheet of music is always welcome. Always go for online piano lessons that can be downloaded in a jiffy and which also offer printable versions.
Schedule to follow
There are some websites where you will be offered timed lessons, but if you are a busy individual it won’t suit your lifestyle. Always choose something with which you will be able to adjust. I would personally recommend an online piano lesson which follows a loose schedule which will be flexible enough for you to follow, without letting your course go haywire.
Lessons on advanced tricks
A good online piano lesson should also teach you a few tricks which will enhance your piano learning experience and which will enthrall your audience. After mastering the tricks you will find it easier to play arpeggios, glissandos and trills.
Advanced notation lessons
Various kinds of interesting Latin things and expressions will be learnt by you such as legato, slurs, dynamic markings, expressions, triplets, ties, note groupings etc if you select a good online piano lesson. All these things will be introduced to you at the advanced level.
Simple chords and accompaniment lessons
Once you graduate from the beginners and intermediate courses to the advanced learner’s course, you shall be introduced to stuff like left hand accompaniment or activity on the intervals, minor and major triads, basic chords, treble clef etc.
You must check to see that your piano lessons download have these necessary features.

Techno from Detroit, it is remarkable style

By admin On December 28th, 2011

Detroit, the metropolis engines. The impressive number of factories specializing in the automotive industry. In vremyarassveta American automobile industry, they demanded mnogonedorogoyrabochey force. And she came to Detroit from all over America. The black population was ready to work with monotone noise road pipelines.
Later, many of the residents came to the conclusion that under the monotone sounds not only possible to work under them, you can easily make people dance. This resulted in the experiments, pioneer in the field which were old friends – Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Kevin Sanderson and Jeff Mills. It is easy to see that Detroit techno is very vulnerable to minimalism. This is probably due to the fact that people who stood at the origins of this music, they could not afford a large number of techniques. Monophonic synthesizer, a couple of drum machines and four-panel, as a rule have a complete set of equipment musician from Detroit. As a consequence, usually in the composition of sounds, only four sound. Black trusted friends that really make music on this material. And worked. And to a techno track was not very much like another great importance attached to work with sounds. By the mid-80′s in Detroit opened underground techno clubs. Before that it had opened clubs mainly with hip-hop, electro music. Musicians began to open the newly designed labels. Juan Atkins label, opened the Metroplex, Derick May – Transmat, Kevin Sanderson – KMS, Jeff Mills – AXIS. By 1987, Juan Atkins performs compilation “Techno – the new Dance sound of Detroit”. Immediately thereafter, the term Techno, well entrenched in a rigid minimalist dance music, which was based on a straight bit about 130 bpm. The wave of Detroit techno is very soon reached Europe, and the music began immediately to diverge on European dance floors. As a result, it became much more popular in Europe than in the United States. It was drawn to the emergence of European artists working in Detroit techno, for example, Advent. But Detroit masters perceive with a small smile to the techno wizard appears, maybe just jealous? Approximately in 1987, in Detroit – the city of Motown and P-Funk – began to appear futuristic direction of music. DJ played his own music in clubs. At that time it was different music, but now it sounds like. Experts say it is – an alloy of the American P-Funk and European synth music (New Order and Kraftwerk). The unique ingredient of Detroit techno is considered “naked” funky sound of an analog synthesizer, and, most importantly, uhayuschy, dolbyaschy rhythm. No parties for vocals and podpevok. But the revolutionary thing in the Detroit techno – is the imposition of rhythms, almost polymorphic. However, this is not a formal set of rhythms, as in African tribal drum music: Detroit techno – a very simple music and often uses instead of the third quarter. The three major Detroit techno – it is Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May. Derrick May – the most heroic, orthodox. This musician has written, for example, The Dance. Quick dishes, break-bits, as well as strings and rhythmic tone line. Leading the rhythm faces other as in the Renaissance polyrhythm. Juan Atkins, and in our time making music, combining it with the rhythm of the jungle. Kevin Saunderson became the most famous in the composition of music on the verge of Hausa. Prior to that, Detroit Techno style was characterized by changing from mild to very dark, creating a vivid and emotional oshuschenie (this feeling has passed partly in the style of Detroit Techno and the Motown legacy and the remaining unfilled niche between the earlier House and Techno in the Chicago style, which evolved in parallel south-westerly direction for all states). While the original style grew and developed as a dance music that lifts the mood, the strict and melancholy tunes from Cybotron, Model 500, Rhythm Is Rhythm and Reese could be ascribed to begin in Detroit, economic crisis in the late 70′s, which followed moschneyshimrastsvetom this colossus of the American automobile industry. Low quality many times copied the musical material and failed hopes of aesthetes, virtually all can be attributed to a very limited technological capabilities Starter pioneers often tape recorded with dvuhdorozhechnogo original). Enhance the professionalism and the complex structure of today’s Techno (and this applies to absolutely all styles, from Hardcore to Jungle), on the contrary, owe their invention, the proliferation and accessibility of MIDI technology and the digital computer sound. The second and third wave of Detroit Techno style, too, took not the last line in the music industry, although such a musician as Derrick May, Juan Atkins, and Kenny Larkin tried to find a symbiosis of unprecedented perfection of digital technologies and compositional minimalism of the primary sound of Detroit. Going beyond the limits of local scale, Detroit Techno is now a global event in the music. Partly because of the wide acceptance of (the many musicians who began their work in Detroit and were scattered all over the world), which is fueled by the fact that many of the early classics are still produced (and made publicly available through Submerge. As of today, the third wave style Detroit Techno again began to repeat the aesthetic value of that style, which belonged to the early period, with a strong rhythm, like (Underground Resistance, Jeff Mills), as well as spiritual tunes (Kenny Larkin, Stacey Pullen). Once again, gets a new breath of interest in the roots of the style of Techno, who came from Breakbeat (Aux 88, Drexciya, “Mad” Mike, Dopplereffekt).
